ABOUT US

We're excited to introduce Fusion Academy, an initiative designed to offer unique opportunities for New Zealand footballers.

Our core mission is to provide an invaluable "professional experience" in the UK for aspiring Kiwi players. We also aim to support players from clubs that may not have their own development programs or academies, and to collaborate with clubs that need assistance and guidance in enhancing their existing development initiatives.

Beyond the UK experience, we have established strong partnerships for USA scholarship opportunities and collaborations with clubs across New Zealand.

Furthermore, Fusion Academy is committed to supporting coach development through workshops, information sessions, and Zoom workshops in our "Coaches Corner."

Ultimately, Fusion Academy strives to eliminate barriers for players at any level to improve and develop their skills. We also aim to provide a robust support network for players as they navigate their next steps and define their pathway in football.

Ryan Stewart

Head Coach and Director

My name is Ryan Stewart, and I am the Head Coach of the Fusion Academy. I established the Fusion Academy to create opportunities for young Kiwi footballers, both here in New Zealand and overseas, through our partnership with your tour group. We also aim to support local players and clubs.

I have been living in New Zealand for 16 years and have been involved in football since my arrival, first as a player and now as a coach. Over this time, I've built strong relationships with coaches and clubs across the country. Currently, I am the coach of Nelson Suburbs in the Men's Southern League and previously served as the Samoa Men's National coach. As a player, I had the privilege of playing in the Irish Premier League for my home team, Limavady United, at the age of 16.

The vision behind the Fusion Academy and our partnership with your tour group is to provide Kiwi footballers with the chance to experience professional football in the UK. This includes playing games, receiving coaching from Premier League youth coaches, and attending Premier League matches and training grounds. I believe this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will allow players from New Zealand to assess their current skill level and learn invaluable lessons.
